Bedtime Devotions with Jesus (My Daily Devotional for Kids) is for young elementary age children. It has a devotion for each day of the year and even comes with a bookmark built in to easily keep up with your reading. The devotions have so many topics for young children including but not limited to salvation, forgiveness, praying, family, obedience, and sin. This book is designed to read every night with your young child. It is set up in weeks instead of actual dates so you can start at anytime of year.
I choose to review this book because I have young children ages ten, eight and two. This book is probably a little to young for my 10 year old. But is great for my eight year old and two year old. I love the cover and the illustrations of the bears in the book. The little bears are really cute and simplistic. The devotions are well made. I have not read them all but the ones we have read are very good and simple. I like all the topics I have read so far and I feel like they can help a young child in their daily walk with the Lord. My only complaint is that they put a Bible verse with every devotion and they used verses from the International Children's Bible. My family reads from the King James Version and therefore reading a verse to my children that is not what they normally learn in Church or their own Bible Studies can make it confusing. So I just prefer to read my own Bible with the devotion.
I received this book free from the publisher through the BookLook Bloggers book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
