Sewing Project #3

I had seen a blog (and I am very sorry I couldn't find it again to link to it) where someone had taken jeans and a skirt and put them together to make a new skirt. So I took a pair of my 5 year old's jeans that had holes in the knees and my 9 year old's skirt that became way to short for her. And I put them together to make my 5 year old a new skirt.

Now all three of my girls want me to take their old clothes and make them new skirts. So I guess it was a hit in my house. It was also super easy. I just cut the jeans legs off and then cut the top of the skirt off and flipped them inside out and sewed. My five year old put it on and wanted to wear it the rest of the day.
